It seems like a good exercise tool but are there any special installation required?
Hi Bella,
The TRX has an available door frame attachment that allows a sturdy attachment point to use the equipment indoors. Otherwise it can be suspended from any sturdy overhead point or even outdoors from a tree limb or from a piece of playground equipment at a local park. I typically use mine either indoors or suspended from a tree outside.
What if I’m 50lbs over weight?
The great thing about a bodyweight workout using the TRX is that it automatically adjusts to your fitness level. This is the reason that beginners as well as professional athletes can use the TRX in a customized exercise program.
The best thing you can do is to start an exercise program today if you haven’t done so.
The TRX is designed to be a total body fitness tool that will burn calories and tone muscle simultaneously. Go for it!!
Yes you can use the TRX if you are 50 lbs overweight . It has been used on the Biggest Loser where all of the contestants are way over 50 pounds overweight.
It is especially helpful for heavy people who want to do squats , lunges and crunches because the TRX can actually help to stabilize you and keep you from falling over. Good luck with your workout.
