Day 5 of the New Year and for those of you like the millions of others who made losing weight and fat loss their ultimate New Year’s Resolution it is now crunch time.

Now for those of you without a plan, look no further.  Here is your plan for the ultimate workout at home.

But first, here is what this plan will cost you in terms of time.  Less than 1 hour workout time for 4 sessions each week.  No drive time since you are committed to a home workout rather than having to drive to some gym.  Time to shower and dress – 30 minutes max.  That’s just 6 hours per week.

So we’re talking about 6 hours total weekly time commitment for a workout at home program compared to about 16 hours per week for an expensive gym membership.  That’s 6 hours vs. 16.  You pick.

Ok, I’ve got a beginner’s workout at home plan and one for intermediate and advanced workouts.

The Beginner Plan

For the beginner’s plan I recommend Craig Ballantyne’s Turbulence Training Program.  Craig Ballantyne is a workout routine and fat loss expert, and writes workout routines for Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness, Muscle and Fitness, Hers and Oxygen magazines.  Craig has an entire exercise at home program that you can do using your own bodyweight and nothing else and he tells you why long, slow, boring cardio is not the best fat loss program for increasing your metabolism and burning fat.

The Turbulence Training Program is a great way for beginners to start a workout at home program with no equipment.  Of course when you are ready to advance, Ballantyne has world class home workouts that you can do with simple pieces of equipment like kettlebells, dumbells and stability balls.

The Intermediate to Advanced Plan
